American Pale Ale (APA) is an American type of ale that was created at the turn of the 1980s. American hop varieties are typically used as both bittering hops and aroma hops for APAs. As their name implies, APAs are pale in colour and the hopping is very floral.

Laitilan Kukko APA Alkoholiton is a filtered pale full-malt beer. A small amount of dark caramel malt is used in addition to pale malted barley to give this beer more depth of colour and add some malty sweetness to its flavour. Kukko APA Alkoholiton has a fresh aroma with notes of apricot, passion fruit and refreshing citrus. The malt foundation gives the hops space to bloom. The flavour is as fresh, fruity and rich as the aroma.

Laitilan alcohol-free Kukko beers are the first alcohol-free beers made in Finland that are are not produced using the arrested fermentation method. Kukko APA Alkoholiton is produced by gently removing the alcohol from the original Kukko APA, without distillation, preserving the original flavour of the beer. Kukko APA Alkoholiton is also suitable for those who are coeliac or on a gluten-free diet, as it contains no added starch or sugar.
